I love to cook, and I love to create, but more importantly I LOVE to eat. My passion for all things food often leads to endless hours spent in the kitchen. Sometimes the result is a raging success and sometimes I am not so lucky. I am starting Off to Market as a way to help me document and remember my journey into the world of food.
I am Jill, a 25 year-old vegetable lover with an overwhelming sweet tooth. I always try to put a healthy foot forward but sometimes only a cupcake will do the trick. I frequent farmer’s markets and local farms because I love to take advantage of the seasons, getting the best of what mother nature has to offer. What you will find here is a collection of sweet and savory dishes that I love. Some are original, some are passed down from friends and family, and some are from my favorite cookbooks, magazines, and food blogs. My hope for Off to Market is to help people see how easy it is to prepare fresh seasonal dishes, and hopefully make a few friends along the way.
Side Note – Not only am I a self taught cook, but I am also a self taught photographer. Bear with me and I promise I will get better.
